How do I delete my cycle data from an app? Step by step, for any app

Short answer: in the European Union you have the right to have your data deleted, and an app must make that possible. Removing the app from your phone is not enough: your account and data remain on the provider's servers until you have them erased. Here is how at the app you use now, and how it works at PERIOD.

Step 0: export first, then erase

If you want to take your history to another app, export first. Most apps have an export button under settings or account, usually as CSV or PDF. Erasing is final.

Step 1: find the delete button in the app

In almost every app it is in the same place: settings, then account or profile, then "delete account". Apple and Google have required since 2022 that apps with an account also offer a way to delete it inside the app. If it is missing, that alone is a reason to leave.

Step 2: read what exactly happens

Some apps only "deactivate", and keep your data for thirty or ninety more days. Others erase immediately. Watch for words like "deactivate", "pause" or "retention period". You may always ask for immediate deletion.

Step 3: no button? Then email

Email the address in the app's privacy policy with: "I request deletion of all my personal data under Article 17 GDPR." They must respond within a month. If they do not, you can complain to your national data protection authority.

Step 4: check your subscription

Deleting an account does not cancel a subscription. Do that separately in your App Store or Google Play account, under subscriptions.

How it works at PERIOD.

In the app: profile, then settings, then delete account. Everything is gone immediately: your logs, your account, your conversations with the assistant. No waiting period, no copy, no email trying to talk you out of it. Without the app it also works through this page.

Why we make this so easy

Because data about your body is yours. An app that makes it hard to leave has a reason to want to keep your data. We do not. This is how we make our money, and it is not with your data.
