PERIOD. on BNR's De Grote Tech Show: 'We figure out how to safely manage your intimate data'

What we talked about
Millions of women use cycle apps to log their periods, symptoms and mood. That some of these apps collect and share far more data than users expect is a recurring point of criticism from privacy organisations and regulators.
Lisa told Joe and Ben how she and her partner Diederick built a Dutch privacy-first cycle app, without a technical background, with a lot of creative will, and using vibecoding (building with AI). And that we're now racing toward 100,000 users.
The gist in three points
- Privacy by design. Your data lives on EU servers in Frankfurt, encrypted at rest and in transit. No ad trackers, no Facebook SDK, no Google Analytics. Read our privacy policy.
- The basics stay free. No ads. Why we keep it that way →
- Building with AI. A small team can ship a serious app today, if you know what you want and where you refuse to compromise.
