# Is PERIOD. free? What the app really costs (and what it does not)

**Short answer:** yes, PERIOD. is free. You can track your period, see your next period and fertile days, and get reminders without ever paying. PERIOD. plus (3.99 per month) and PERIOD. baby (7.99 per month) are extras, for whoever wants more.

## Why people think it is not free

After creating your account we show you a screen about PERIOD. plus once. That screen has a price, a button to try for 14 days, and at the bottom a button to continue with the free version. Whoever taps fast sees only the price. Whoever scrolls sees the free button. That is the whole confusion, and we get it. We have sharpened the wording on that screen for that reason.

No trial starts unless you start it yourself. Nothing is charged. You do not enter payment details to use the app.

## What is free

- Logging your period, flow and symptoms

- Prediction of your next period and fertile days, based on your data

- A calendar with your whole cycle

- Reminders for your period and your pill

- A daily explanation of the phase you are in

- 19 languages, iPhone and Android, no ads, no data trading

## What costs money

**PERIOD. plus**, 3.99 per month or 34.99 per year: your own assistant that remembers your cycle, a doctor report as PDF, insights across cycles, temperature and ovulation test logging, a journal, custom symptoms, calendar sync and sharing with your partner. [Everything about plus](https://myperiod.app/plus-en).

**PERIOD. baby**, 7.99 per month or 69.99 per year: everything in plus, plus guidance from trying to conceive until after birth. [Everything about baby](https://myperiod.app/baby-en).

Both come with 14 days free first. Cancel with one tap in your App Store or Google Play account.

## Why not everything is free

PERIOD. is built by two people without investors. Servers in the EU, the assistant, security tests and translations cost money every day. The two usual ways to pay for that, ads and sharing data, we deliberately did not choose. That leaves one honest way: some people pay for extra features, and that keeps the basics free for everyone. About one in fifty users does.

The whole story, including how we fund it, is at [myperiod.app/free](https://myperiod.app/free).

## And if you want to leave anyway?

Delete your account in the app or through [this page](https://myperiod.app/delete-my-data). Everything is gone. No copy, no waiting period.
